As of 1st October 2009 a number of changes are taking place.

First Aid At Work will now be a 3 day course which will still incorporate a practical end test. Certificates will be valid for 3 years.

Emergency First Aid At Work will be a one day course and can only be accessed via HSE approved providers. Certificates will be valid for 3 years.

Annual Refresher Basic Training will be recommended by the HSE annually (half day duration) during the interim period between initial qualification and requalification.
